COSTUME COMPETITION
Winner Penny Davis of Freeport, TX portrayed Moira O'Toole from Connie
Mason's PURE TEMPTATION.
Mr. Romance 1998 Ryan Storm gallantly escorted Rebekah Higginbotham as
Mairin of Aelfleak from Bertrice Small's ENCHANTRESS MINE onto the
stage.
An air of mystery surrounded many contestants who concealed their
identities.
Always on cue for comic relief was the outrageous Marsha Canham, who
was voted by the audience as their favorite costumed author.
Cindy Walker from Raymond, Ohio had the audience in stitches as she
appeared on stage as the pregnant Serena Riverton from Jo Beverley's
FORBIDDEN and exited with newly delivered baby in blanket!
