So which 'second fiddle' character you read about eventually got his or her own book and it turned out to be an incredible read??? Shocked

I'd have to say one that just pops up automatically is PACE COLTON..I thought he's make an intriguing hero , and Ms Hudson didn't disapoint when she wrote his book...APACHE FLAME...I can never get enough of this book!!!

Another one that stands out is Bubba aka Jake Langston who got his shot of being a 'star' in ANOTHER DAWN, and again Ms Brown did a fabulous job...enough to make me forget that she killed off a former hero in this book!! Rolling Eyes Exclamation

the obvious choice is Reggie from Mary Jo Putney's THE RAKE/ THE RAKE AND THE REFORMER.

I would say someone like Nick Gentry in WORTH ANY PRICE but it was obviously that LK was always gonna do his story.

Laura Kinsale was haunted by the hero of THE SHADOW AND THE STAR (forgot what book he was in earlier) and so she wrote his story

I loved that Jack got his own story in DEVIL'S DELILAH by Loretta Chase even though he is a lowly bookworm Shocked

I'm currently awaiting one right now....!!!!!
BUT I think that Diana Palmer has made him so obscure and mysterious that even SHE can't figure out how to proceed with him ....Although in her most recent Chat, she IS DEFINTELY working to bring HARLEY FOWLER"S story to light.... hope she don't mess up!!!

Acutally, to my eternal disappointment, he only got his own novella; one of those multi-author books. Confused My all time fav was Nicholas from Judith McNaught's Whitney My Love.

Rawley Cooper from Lorraine Heath's Texas series and ditto on Diana Palmer's Harley.

Also Wolf, who should have had his book from Rocky Mountain Trilogy written by Nicole Jordan.

Mine's a Diana Palmer. The hero of Lord of the Desert is Philippe Sabon who originally appeared as a secondary character in Once In Paris. I love the way Diana Palmer constantly introduces secondary characters who later get their own books. Smile

I loved these books, along with Paper Rose. And the way she provides little snippets of older characters in her new books. The Outsider what like a reunion book for me - loved it!

Gemini, have you read the Outsider yet? I have been waiting for your comments!!! Wink Spill.....

Me, too! And "The Devil's Delilah" was the better book, too, IMO! I loved his character.

This isn't really a romance series, but Elizabeth Peters wrote a stand-alone romantic mystery with John Tregarth as a minor character (the bad guy, too!) and he later appeared as Vicky Bliss's super-cool antiquities thief and love interest in the Vicky Bliss series.

One of my favorites is Lauren Buchanan, who was dumped at the altar in Balogh's "One Night for Love" and gets her own story in "A Summer to Remember."
