I read this book last night. Overall I would give it a 3.5, but I can't really put into words why I didn't enjoy the book. There was humor, which is always a plus, and the romance was good. I don't mind paranormal aspects, so that wasn't a problem. The characters were good. But I really did not enjoy the book.

Anyone else read it? What did you think?

I have not read any of her books before, are all of them like this one?

I haven't read this one yet - still waiting for it to arrive from the bookclub!! I have read all her books and I love them. Reading her books are like sitting down with an old friend for me. I just enjoy them. So as soon as I get my copy and read it I will be able to answer your question on whether or not this is like her other books!!

Thanks, Gypsy. Like I said, I can't put my finger on WHY I didn't like the book, but I didn't. All of the separate pieces were good, but as a whole there was something wrong. I would appreciate it you would let me know what you think. I WANTED to like it, and I want to try her other books, but if they are all like this I may have to pass.

Is this the first book that you have read. I'm reading it right now and I'm not quite half way through it. Will let you know what I think of it later.

Like I said JAnet Chapman is one of my favorite authors. But is she up there with say Karen Marie Monings Highlander series? No. I don't read her books for the grand passion. I look at her books more as a charming romance read - leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy rather than hot and bothered!! When I think of finding romance for myself I would like to have one of the men in her books along with the life of the heroine!!

I haven't read this yet but plan to. I've read I think everything else s he's written and have enjoyed them all. I can't honestly say that any have been so stupendously good that I rave and rave but for me she's a dependable romance author and I've enjoyed all of stories. nothing stands out as super duper but I think I see them as gypsy said - warm and fuzzy romance.
