I read this book last night. Overall I would give it a 3.5, but I can't really put into words why I didn't enjoy the book. There was humor, which is always a plus, and the romance was good. I don't mind paranormal aspects, so that wasn't a problem. The characters were good. But I really did not enjoy the book.
Anyone else read it? What did you think?
I have not read any of her books before, are all of them like this one? |

I haven't read this one yet - still waiting for it to arrive from the bookclub!! I have read all her books and I love them. Reading her books are like sitting down with an old friend for me. I just enjoy them. So as soon as I get my copy and read it I will be able to answer your question on whether or not this is like her other books!!

| Thanks, Gypsy. Like I said, I can't put my finger on WHY I didn't like the book, but I didn't. All of the separate pieces were good, but as a whole there was something wrong. I would appreciate it you would let me know what you think. I WANTED to like it, and I want to try her other books, but if they are all like this I may have to pass. |

Is this the first book that you have read. I'm reading it right now and I'm not quite half way through it. Will let you know what I think of it later.

Like I said JAnet Chapman is one of my favorite authors. But is she up there with say Karen Marie Monings Highlander series? No. I don't read her books for the grand passion. I look at her books more as a charming romance read - leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy rather than hot and bothered!! When I think of finding romance for myself I would like to have one of the men in her books along with the life of the heroine!!

I haven't read this yet but plan to. I've read I think everything else s he's written and have enjoyed them all. I can't honestly say that any have been so stupendously good that I rave and rave but for me she's a dependable romance author and I've enjoyed all of stories. nothing stands out as super duper but I think I see them as gypsy said - warm and fuzzy romance.
