MISTRESS OF PLEASURE
by Delilah Marvelle

RT Rating:
Category: HISTORICAL
Setting: 1830 England
Publisher: Zebra
Published: September 2008
Type: Historical

Marvelle's debut puts her right up there with Cheryl Holt, Robin Schone and Katherine O'Neal, authors who walk the fine line between sensual and erotic romance. She develops her story along the classic lessons-in-love theme, adding unexpected twists and sizzling scenes (dildos and more) that will have a few readers blushing, but they'll relish every moment.

Summary: Maybelle de Maitenon, the granddaughter of a courtesan, has no interest in her grandmother's games or her school for teaching gentleman the art of seduction -- until she meets Edmund Worthington.

Edmund isn't courting scandal, but after a very public and heated meeting with Maybelle, he can salvage their reputations only by marriage. Maybelle refuses, then her grandmother's illness forces her to take over the school, and Edmund enrolls, planning to convince her of his love. He demands Maybelle be his "personal" instructor, and soon the simmering passion that lies beneath Maybelle's calm exterior explodes. As the lessons escalate to more than verbal instructions they're caught in love's delicious, erotic, wonderful trap. (Zebra, Sep., 380 pp., $3.99) SCORCHER
