BLOODFEVER
by Karen Marie Moning

RT Rating: ½
Category: PARANORMAL ROMANCE
Publisher: Delacorte
Published: October 2007
Type: Urban Fantasy

Beautiful Dublin takes on an eerie and dangerous feel as we continue to follow the first-person exploits of feisty MacKayla Lane. The second book in Moning's dangerously creepy and totally riveting Fever series provides further evidence that Mac had better learn the paranormal ropes quickly, or else she'll be toast. The mystery of just what the enigmatic Barrons is continues to add more sinister flare. This is awesome stuff!

Summary: It's only been weeks since Mac's perception of the world took a dramatic turn for the worse. Her sister Alina's murder brought her to Ireland, and vengeance is keeping her there. That and her newly discovered ability as a sidhe-seer, or one who can see the fae. To help with her quest, Mac has entered into an uneasy alliance with the mysterious Jericho Barrons, who wants to use Mac's ability to locate an ancient evil book called the Sinsar Dubh.

Meanwhile, the Lord Master, who killed Alina and is now bringing monsters into the human plane, plans to destroy the wall between realms. Trying to stop him may cost Mac more than she ever dreamed. (DELACORTE, Oct., 320 pp., $22.00)
