KITTY TAKES A HOLIDAY
by Carrie Vaughn

RT Rating: ½
Category: PARANORMAL ROMANCE
Publisher: Warner
Published: April 2007
Type: Paranormal Fiction (Werewolf, Mystery)

Kitty is back, and unfortunately for her, smack dab in the middle of trouble once again. Her first-person account of her increasingly complicated life makes for standout entertainment. Vaughn has created a truly memorable set of characters, led by the feisty Kitty. In this at times dark and dangerous world, friendship may be all you can depend on.

Summary: After being outed on national TV, werewolf and radio host Kitty Norville just wants some peace. A remote cabin in Colorado is the best she can do, so Kitty is hiding out and supposedly writing her memoirs. She thought she had detente with the small town of Walsenburg, but when bloody animal carcasses are smeared across her porch, she gets concerned. Then the all-too-attractive werewolf hunter Cormac turns up with their mutual friend, attorney Ben O'Farrell, who has been wounded by a werewolf.

Rather than fulfill a childhood promise to kill Ben if he is turned, Cormac brings him to Kitty for help and guidance. Having been alone for a while, Kitty now has a packmate -- if any of them survive, for something deadly is stalking them. And while it might look like a werewolf, this red-eyed monster is something else entirely -- and evil personified. (WARNER, Apr., 336 pp., $6.99) MILD
