Meyer follows up her YA vampire novel Twilight with this equally enthralling sequel. Though the charismatic Cullens are absent for much of the middle of this lengthy tale, Bella remains a charming narrator. Great characters, strong conflict, fast-paced action, sweet romance -- all of the elements are in place for this series to become a modern YA classic.
Summary: Bella Swan is devastated when the Cullens decide it's time for them to move on from Forks, Wash., before anyone figures out they are vampires.
