This is a quirky tale about three half-sisters uprooted to a small Texas town when they inherit property from their late grandfather. Each author writes in her own style, molding characters and creating passion, yet the flow from story to story is smooth and easy. Together, the authors use foreshadowing, wit and Texas cliches to create an enjoyable read.
Summary: Laurey's "In Bad With Someone" captures the reader's attention with a sassy redhead and a Peeping Tom. Juliet Ffrench inherits a bar that comes with a scorned manager she's not sure how to manage. Nina Harris inherits a ranch and finds that things really are bigger in Texas, and Kelley thickens the plot of "Run of Bad Luck" with risque outdoor sex.
Lillie June wreaks havoc by turning her inherited hotel into a day spa, and the mystery surrounding their grandfather's death is put to rest as Castell's "Come to a Bad End" wraps up the anthology with appearances by all of the main characters -- two of whom are suffering from a serious case of love-hate.
