Laurens presents another delightful and entertaining story of the Bastion Club, former spies who form a band of brothers to dissuade matchmaking mamas. In typical Laurens fashion, there's plenty of heat and loads of suspense. Though longtime readers will no doubt recognize the tried-and-true plotline, no one will be disappointed with such a witty foray into love and sensuality.

Summary: When Deverell, Viscount Paignton, must marry, he trusts his aunt to find him a bride. She sends him to a country party, where she claims he'll meet the ideal woman, Phoebe Malleson. Deverell finds her, not flirting in the ballroom but reading in the library. She's unconventional, lovely, smart: in other words, a challenge, and he's out to woo and win her.

Marriage is not in Phoebe's plans. Involved in the Athena Employment Agency, she "steals" young women away from unsuitable employers. Deverell will only get in the way of her rescue missions, yet she cannot deny her powerful sexual attraction to him and the chance to play out a few sensual fantasies.
