| Isa Avelian certainly thinks she has
it all together. She's a gifted ESL teacher
at her high school alma mater, she has
a great boss and she has a talented and energetic son, Andrew, whom she wouldn't trade for the world. And even though she's recently divorced from her husband, Carlos, she's relatively content with her single mom status -- until she's named the most "un-doable" teacher in the school.
Suddenly, the last time she bought makeup or went out on a date becomes red-hot gossip. "To do or not to do?" The next man her friends want to set her up with becomes her biggest dilemma.
Alex is not only Andrew's soccer coach, he's also the man Isa's friends declare "perfect." The quintessential man's man, he also has a softer side. He's there for his family and even takes in his annoying sister-in-law while his brother is off fighting in the Middle East. If only he'd let his guard down, especially with a woman. Alex must decide if he's really ready to make the effort to break through Isa's hardened shell or just walk away with his pride intact.
For her follow-up to Hot Tamara, Castillo has created a New Age romance with elements that will make any single mama looking for love hopeful for that second coming. The story is laugh-out-loud funny but still throws in those
hits of heartbreak that will make the strongest woman gush. Be warned if
you intend to read it in public! (Feb.,
400 pp., $12.95)
