you should have looke at the vampire academy series by richelle mead.... that is one of the best series i have ever read about vampires and romance.
other then that i love that you picked aprilynne pikes wings and kelley armstrongs the awakening... great books!
I agree 100% with the above comment about Vampire Academy. It SHOULD have been here. Perhaps it could have even replaced the horrible selections of P.C and Kristen Cast and well as Alyson Noel's novel. As a published author myself, I know what it takes to be a good writer. Richelle Mead is a wonderful author, who deserves to be nominated. Whereas, the two hackneyed writers I mention above are not even worthy to be spit-shine her shos. Vampire Academy takes a bite out of Cast and Noel.
Although, I must say: great choice nominating Wings by Aprilynne Pike. It is a lovely novel, shinning its way passed any of these nominees like the real gem it is.
Congrats, Aprilynne! :)
Yea! What dey said! VA rules! :P

Wow-Anonymous. Not cool and totally unnecessary.
I noticed that Olivia Drake is nominated for "First Historical Romance." Since Olivia Drake is an alias of Barbara Dawson Smith, are you sure that this is the correct category for her?

I agree completely Mark. That was extremely tacky. Makes me want to know who that anonymous person is.

RE: Olivia Drake aka Barbara Dawson Smith
Unfortunately none of us caught this and she will be disqualified. Olivia will not be replaced her with another debut author in this category.
If anonymous is a published author then I would have thought she would have more respect for her fellow writers.
Congrats all nominees.
Larissa Ione is a firm fave with me and I wish her a mountain of luck but with WRAITH she doesn't need it
Congrats to all the wonderful authors..To my absolute fave,Larissa Ione, i wish you the best..
