RT at Lady Jane's Salon 6/1/09

(pictured left to right: authors Wendy Corsi Staub, Marjorie M. Liu, Diane Gaston, and Amanda McCabe)
Monday night, I attended the fifth Lady Jane's Salon romance book reading at Madame X in Manhattan. The kind and talented author Diane Gaston let me borrow her camera and emailed the photos to me last night. Thank you so much, Diane!
Diane Gaston and Amanda McCabe read from their new historical anthology THE DIAMONDS OF WELBOURNE MANOR, Wendy Corsi Staub read from her romantic suspense DEAD BEFORE DARK, and Marjorie M. Liu read from her urban fantasy DARKNESS CALLS. Marjorie is also our current Ask the Author guest, so visit our forum and post your questions.
I also met Maria Lokken from Romance Novel TV and Elena Stokes from Wunderkind PR and hung out with LJS regulars Biz, Elizabeth, Grace, Stacey, and Marcos. I had a great time and will of course be back next month for more romance and fun. Hope Tarr, Maya Rodale, Leanna Hieber, and Ron Hogan are the best!
Lady Jane's Salon takes place on the first Monday of every month. If you're in the NYC area, come to Madame X and check it out.

Thanks for the great rundown, Rob! We so very, very much appreciate your ongoing support, it just won't be a Lady Jane's Salon if you're not there! Wasn't it a crazy night of talent and a room full of fabulous? I'm still reeling. Thanks for being my photo hookup, I will, as always credit you on my blog.
Hey, Rob,
I was happy to share my camera. How else was I going to get any photos of the event?
Lady Jane's was just terrific! It is not to be missed. Maya, Hope, Leanna, and Ron have done something wonderful with this salon. I want to come back!
Thanks for the props, Diane, and for the great write-up, Rob. Like any successful event, Lady Jane's comes down to the people in the room. Sizzling talent in the form of four very diverse and very talented authors. An audience absolutely passionate about books in general and romance fiction specifically. A romance fiction-oriented media that not only worked with us to build buzz at the salon's inception but keeps that buzz at peak point by turning out *every single month* to support us (thank you RT!). And last but not least, the end goal of doing what we all love in the service of sharing the love in support of a truly great cause: Share-the-Love.org
That's some recipe for success and then some.
Weighing in belatedly...what an honor to be a part of such a tremendous cause. Thank you, Maya, Hope, Leanna and Ron, for coming up with such a perfect idea and inviting me to be a part of it!
