We Can Always Use More Books
Oh, wow, did I have a great afternoon or what?
After taking a break earlier this afternoon, I headed back in to talk with Joey Hill (whose blog post you see below). I went back to Club RT to see who was hanging out and what goodies I could find. I found a present for my sister and a great pair of earrings.
While I was talking with friends and begging someone for their copy of Elizabeth Hoyt's new novel (which doesn't come out until tomorrow), I also ran into Larissa Ione and discussed getting a copy of her PLEASURES UNBOUND. Luckily, later, I got both books and I was like a thrilled little puppy.
In the meantime, my roommate attended the "He Sex, She Sex" panel. I could hear the laughter from the hallway. The audience were drinking Screaming Orgasms as the panel debated the difference in the sexes and their thoughts on sex. They did agree on one thing - everyone loves sex!
At the Avon mixer, there were books galore. Kerrelyn Sparks signed her newest, SECRET LIFE OF A VAMPIRE. Jeaniene Frost signed ARCs of her DESTINED FOR AN EARLY GRAVE, due to come out July 28th. Jocelyn Drake signed her DAYHUNTER book, the second Dark Days novel. Jaime Rush signed A PERFECT DARKNESS. Melissa Marr ran out of her copies of the brand new FRAGILE ETERNITY (look for an interview with her tomorrow). And last, but not least, Terri Garey singed YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I HAUNT.
And while the beautiful Vicki Pettersson was not there, ARCs of the fourth Zodiac book, CITY OF SOULS, were around. I begged and begged someone for one of their copies, since they ran out early, which she was kind enough to share. I was so excited - I have been waiting for this book for so long and it doesn't come out until July!
And all the while the lovely men of Mr. Romance mingled with the ladies as they drank mojitos and rum runners. Now it is time to head to the rooms and prepare for the Faery Ball. Pictures will be posted later tonight - knowing how the parties go, possibly a LOT later tonight!
