Faery Ball

I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked because it was too dark or items of interest were too far away. But I will share what tidbits I can...

The costumes were amazing, as usual. The faery court was divided into Seelie (good) and Unseelie (bad). Mark Johnson was the emcee, as well as the advocate for the Seelie court. The battle between good and evil was decided by ... paper, rock, scissors. The Seelie won.

Then the rest of the court was introduced, with Mark being his usual funny and entertaining self. Each of the lovely ladies was escorted by a handsome hunk as they crossed the stage. Kathryn Falk and JoCarol Jones were especially lovely in their ethereal dresses.

Then we got down to the business of eating dinner and making friends. Our table was lucky enough to have one of the Mr. Romance competitors, Jeremy Rivenberg, join us. He was as gallant as I have come to expect an RT cover model to be. As the chocolate cake was served, the costume contest began. Dozens of fantastical costumes were up for voting, everything from evil fairies to woodland sprites.

And once the voting was done, it was time to dance! RT-goers love to dance, and tonight was no exception. However, this attendee headed back to her room to rest and gear up for another event-filled day.
