NaNo Finale!
We can't believe it, but here we are at December first! We can officially call our experiment with National Novel Writing Month a success! Elissa crossed the finish line a few days ago, and Stephanie is close behind. We're both thrilled to have manuscripts (and we like telling everyone and anyone that they exist), and really enjoyed the process of putting the story together. It was amazing to see what the characters would do and how they would interact. For instance, Elissa had no idea that her main character's best friend would interrupt a girl fight, and Stephanie was surprised to discover how easily her character learned to control her time traveling (certainly it would have taken us longer to get the hang of it, we routinely get lost in Brooklyn). So here's to a successful experiment -- we'll see you next November! NaNo forever!

I second all that!! I could not believe who my killer turned out to be! I literally did NOT know it was going to be this person until I sat down on November 30 and wrote the scene - it just all fell into place and while I hit 50K several days before that - the book is now FINISHED!! Are there enough exclamation points! in this blog post! for you??? Ha. Ha. Congrats ladies.... when do we get to read them??
